Hi Lois. I’m sorry, I didn’t see your question. Ultras ended up with some rewrites before it became Cipher’s Quest. The good news is I finished that series, so the Ciphercraft books under my pen name is where to find the sequel, Windwalker. Thanks for asking!

Scavenger was inspired by a scene in Hugh Howey's novel, Sand, where sand divers are scavenging in a town's sand buried remains. Hugh doesn't describe their backstory, and I thought I would. I can't really go into that backstory without spoiling Scavenger, except maybe to say he is the custodian at the local bar and brothel, and is on the verge of either becoming a villain or going back to his wife and forgiving her for letting their infant die.

Don't be afraid to grab a spiral notebook and just write out your thoughts on the story problems causing you to not write. Go for a jog and listen to a podcast on writing to inspire you to keep going, refreshing your batteries. Also don't be afraid to rewrite. It's your story. You can do whatever you want. That's why this is so much fun.
