Nina Waters When doing geneaology work, my father discovered that we might be distantly related to the diarist Samuel Pepys. I bet doing a sort of travelogue/memoir on the process of figuring out if we actually are could make a cool book (no matter whether we discover "yes" or "no") 'cause delving into family history always finds some wild stories.
Nina Waters Wherever it is, I want it peaceful, Utopian, and calm. And not, like, "oh that's all a cover for the Actual Evil." Genuinely Utopian. Please.
Nina Waters Hmm I think honestly it'd work best as a movie? It's fairly self-contained in that regard, and wouldn't lend itself well to an episodic format.

Then again...the flashbacky bits would probably work better in a TV show? But they also wouldn't be necessary in a TV show...I used the flashbacks because I had no other way of working in information about, for example, (spoilers), but in a TV show or movie there'd be way better ways to integrate that info. So...yeah, Imma stick with movie. I want the bigger budget lol.
Nina Waters I search for my work in progress.

"File not found."
Nina Waters I don't get writer's block. If I'm stuck on a story it's usually cause it's difficult, and I push through, or because I'm not sure what happens next, in which case I force myself to make a decision and go with it.
Nina Waters Hands down, no contest, interacting with readers.
Nina Waters Just keep writing. Try to finish something - it's very motivating to write "the end" on a manuscript knowing that you did your best. Don't compare yourself to other writers. Instead, read a ton, and when you find a book you think is awesome, read it as a *writer* instead of a fan and try to understand what the author did that "worked" for you.
But ultimately...write and write and write and write and write.
Nina Waters At this exact instant, my fanfiction story for the Supernatural Mega Bang is open. I'm also working on a prompt story for a Patreon backer, the last chapter of my fanfiction Halflings, another prompt story for a Patreon Backer, and I expect to start work on my novella Puppetry any day now.
Nina Waters I don't really. I'm not an "inspiration" kind of writer. I just write, every day, regardless. I only need one kernel of an idea - usually, as I answered in another ask, from erotica scenes I make up while trying to fall asleep - and then I go from there.
Nina Waters Given that I'm working on multiple things, I don't think I even have a book I can call my "most recent" work. However, in general...honestly? I'll come up with erotica scenes I like while lying in bed trying to fall asleep, then I build stories around those. Sometimes, I also use dreams.
