The idea and story of Royal Danish Egg is 100% Barb Goodwin's. She told me the story years ago and I loved it. The characters, the adventure, the technology, secret societies, all surrounding the mystery of an actual lost artifact in the world. Count me in. Together, Barb and I collaborated on the execution of the story. It was so much fun.

Not very well. Oh -- you mean "how do I overcome writer's block?" I always examine the emotion of the scene with the characters. That will usually show me where the issue is and then I can fix it.

The hardest thing to do is to start. Just start. Don't care if it's good or bad. Just begin writing and eventually the story will tell you where it needs to go. If it doesn't, then you'll know what to fix in the next draft. Rewrites are your friends.

Randomly. It can be a certain character quirk, a scene, or literally a situation I witness out in public, and I think how would I write what happens after.
