I am currently writing a new strand about a First War-damaged detective, who is seconded to the South African Police in Cape Town in the early 1920s. He is a complex character, with certain pshchological "problems" stemming in part from his experience in the Royal Navy during the war. In addition to solving crime, he comes face to face with the prejudices of race. This was an interesting period in South African history and makes a good backdrop to the action.

The second novel in the "AN ECCENTRIC IN LUCCA" is due for release in November, 2014 and the third novel in this series is complete and is currently being edited. The second volume in the Journeys of Rupert Winfield, "THE GERSHOM SCROLL" is due for release in March, 2015. The third volume, "THE CLOTH OF DESTINY" is shortly to begin the editing process.

Make sure that you are happy with what you want to commit to paper; don't think that what you produce is by any means the final draft; be open minded enough to accept constructive criticism of your work; don't pin your hopes on becoming and oversight sensation - it can happen, but it's oh so rare !
