It had begun with terror and the realization there was no way back.
Now they were coming, many of them, too many, death beckoned.

What a great question, as a fantasy fan & writer in that genre it would have to be Tolkien's Middle Earth. As to what I would do there? I'd help Frodo & the team in their mission to save Middle Earth!

TY for the question, I write mysteries & horror stories, but don't like them in my own life. I have no mysteries, I am what you see, honest, perhaps too honest, but what's on the label is the same inside :-)

It has to be Holmes & Watson, why? Because they are so English as I am & a perfect pairing.

My most recent book is an erotic story-'Shoe Horny', many men and women like female feet, it is a fetish and one which I subscribe to also, but not only feet for women I hasten to add! I set the tale in a shoe shop and it features the adventures of a young man who is working there has and his love of their bare feet and legs. Most women like shoes so it seemed a good location, the story is a mix of humor and erotic, available from Amazon/Barnes & Noble and Smashwords! My author name is C S Dixon

As I teach full time, most of my writing is confined to weekends, I am very self-motivated, so I really just sit down at my desk and begin, or continue with my stories. Unlike many writers I don't set word 'targets' as I think this invites negativity into what is a creative process, I am pleased with whatever amount of words I am able to craft.

I am currently working on about nine different stories across several genres-erotic/horror/fantasy and noir. I like the diversity of moving between stories and the challenges they present to me. In this way, I hope it does prevent 'writers' block' as if I am stuck on one tale, then I can tackle another.

I don't claim this to be original advice at all, but I would say to read, write, then read and read again. Develop a feel for language and a love of words, i have been a journalist/writer/editor and now author for more than 32 years and my passion remains. Look at other writers you admire and see how they connect with the reader with dialogues and descriptions of environments and characters. Revise and re-write, I am a seat of the pantser when it comes to the writing process, rather than an out liner, but I do make notes and undertake research depending on the story I am writing.

I do love the art of using language and crafting words, the process of creating from nothing, then breathing life into characters and the narrative. I am very much a seat of the pantser when it comes to writing, rather than an out liner, however, I do make notes on plot development and depending on the story/ies in progress I also research. I enjoy the diversity of writing in different genres and the challenges of moving between them.

This is a good question, fortunately and these may be famous last words, but it's not something I usually suffer from, but I have had more problems with one of my current works in progress, a horror story than any other! When I was metaphorically tearing my hair out the other week, I started to pace the living room like Napoleon caged in exile on St. Helena. Then I sat back at my desk and actually started another new story, an erotic tale and this, don't ask me how, was the ignition to return to the ghost story!
