I'll let you know when I find an answer. I've been stuck for.. years now. Only recently did I come to a revelation after a looooong time examining my life and myself. I don't think there's one cure-all for writer's block. It differs per person.

Definitely has to be creating worlds. There's just something about taking a world from the incorporeal realms of your imagination and transforming it into something tangible in our real world. And to build upon that, anyone can pick up this material form of your imagination and create their own vision for it. It's quite remarkable when you think about it.

Don't give up. There have been so many times where I considered just putting the proverbial pen down and going back to being only the recipient of stories. There have been many times where I've left a project unfinished or where I realized that I was being too ambitious. Or times when I read my own work and felt the shiver of cringe run up my spine. Whatever obstacle you might be facing as a writer, push through it. Never, ever lose faith in yourself.

I'm supposed to be working on the other 2 books in the Chronicles of the Morning Star trilogy... but after much introspective thought I think the next step will be to actually change the story of Nightfall. While it exists as a proper first book, I've come to realize that while the story may be able to write itself, it can't edit itself very well. So for the purpose of smooth continuity with the other parts in the trilogy, I think Nightfall needs an update.

I've always been fascinated with stories. I used to read a lot as a kid and I'd frequently bury myself in books of ancient myth and legend. When I got older writing seemed a natural extension of my existing passion. I wanted to not only experience new stories but create them as well.

Someone once told me that stories sometimes write themselves. I feel like this was very true for this book. I'd like to imagine myself as the instrument through which the story chose to reveal itself. Or this is a fancy way for me to say that I made it up along the way, haha. Because of this, many of the characters are influenced by people I was close to at the time.
