Steve Altier Great question. I wrote The Lizardville Ghost Story series. In 1969 my parents bought the Dam keeper's house. Yes, I grew up in a small town in central Pennsylvania called Lizardville. There was an old abandon Axe factory and a broken down dam. My friends and I used to fish, camp, and hike in the surrounding woods. There are many parts of the story that are based on my true life experiences. Did I ever see a real ghost? You will have to read the Lizardville Ghost Stories to find out.
Steve Altier I drag myself into work on Monday morning, I see the boss hovering over my desk holding a pink slip. I jolt forward, then realize it was only a dream, when I spot him standing in the corner of my bedroom. :)
Steve Altier Hi Candychaser21, yes, I'm always open to suggestions for ideas in my stories. But not all ideas make the final cut, some of them do and I always give credit in the acknowledgements. Do you have an idea you would like to suggest?
The second part of your question. Yes, feedback from readers is critical to me and should be for any writer. That's how we grow as a writers. Also I might add, I enjoy hearing from the readers, good or bad feedback, I find helpful.
Thank you for the great questions
Steve
Steve Altier Hi Curt, Yes, my 7th book is set to release in 2020. We don't have an exact date yet, but it is in the works. Thanks for the question.
Steve Altier Hi Karen, as a child, I enjoyed reading, and I dabbled in writing. I had dreams of being a journalist when I grew up. But life took me in a different direction. Several years ago my wife and I became empty nesters, and when the kids moved out, I decided to follow my passion. I picked up the pen and started writing again. They say you're never too old to pursue what makes you happy. Thanks for the great question.
Steve Altier Hi, great question, glad you loved the first book. Yes, there will be a book two, it will be titled "Lizardville - Jimmy's Revenge." It's currently in the editing stage and should be out in a few months. Yes, there will be some Goodreads giveaways on the second book. You can sign up for my news letters on my website, www.stevealtier.com and stay up with all the current projects i'm working on. Thank you for your question. Steve
Steve Altier What a tough question, do I want to be scared? Like in one of Stephen Kings novels, or go back in time where there's a war going on? How about the Hunger Games or Divergent? Or what about the Maze runner? Wow, my mind is a whirl with this question. Oh, I got it, I could go to Forks and visit the Cullen's? No, that won't work. Better yet, I could be a wizard at Hogwarts. Or travel to Narnia or 20,000 leagues under the sea. Hum.
I guess the one place that fascinates me the most, would be Middle-earth. The Hobbit, JRR Tolkien created such a wonderful world, Elves, Dwarfs, Hobbits, wizards and dragons and of course talking trees. Yes, there is a down side, Orcs, and the dark lord to name a few. But as long as I have Gandalf by my side, I think I'll be safe. I would love to go on an adventure and help Thorin, and the Dwarfs reclaim their home. Maybe I could find a gold ring.
And if I ever get the chance, I would love to visit New Zealand in real life. Great question and thank you for asking.
Steve Altier Hello, I'm looking forward to reading "Caraval" by Stephanie Garber. "Carve the Mark" by Veronica Roth. I'm super excited to read the new Paula Hawkins novel "Into the Water" and the last "Days of Magic" by Mark Tompkins, oh and I almost forgot, "Dragon Teeth" by Michael Crichton. There are a few more books on my radar, if I have time. It's always difficult to find time when I spend so much time writing.
Steve Altier If my wife were to answer this question, that would be easy. She's a Twilight fan. I enjoyed the books and movies. However, I had to think about this question for awhile and that took me back to my childhood, and one of my favorite couples were Danny and Sandy of Grease. I have to say it has been some time since I read that book. But still my favorite. Why? They both liked each other, and yet they let peer pressure get in the way, by trying to impress their friends instead of following their true feelings. But in the end everything worked out as it was supposed too, they each gave a little to meet in the middle in what would be a happy ending. Thanks for the question.

Steve Altier With the success of Lizardville - The Ghost Story. I've written a sequel. The next book picks up where the first book left off. Johnny and the gang have more exciting adventures in store as they try to solve another mystery. It's still in the editing process and I don't have a title or cover art yet.
It's expected to hit the market late 2017. Great question and thanks for asking.
Steve Altier Hi Barbara, Yes, My newest YA Novel is called Lizardville The Ghost Story. It's based on the area located just east of Mill Hall PA. I grew up in that area. This is the first book in a series. I'm currently working on the second book, and it's coming along great. I had forgotten all about ice skating in the swamp, and those were great times. I hope you will take the time to check out this story. I look forward to reading your review.
Steve Altier I'm currently working on my debut YA Teen novel, It's a ghost story that takes place in a small Pennsylvania town in the mid 1970's. Six friends set out on a weekend camping trip that soon turns tragic. Are the legends that surround the old Axe Factory to blame? Learn more in the coming months. "Lizardville" is set to be released in 2016.
Steve Altier I always dreamed of being a writer. It happened one day when I had this vivid dream while I was sick. It was then that I knew It was time to write my story. We Can't move at Christmas was born. It was a really great feeling to see the story go from my dreams to a softcover children's book. I've released two other children's chapter books and I'm currently working on my debut YA Teen novel.
