Nick and Nora from the novel, "The Thin Man." (which was turned into a series of films in the 40s starring William Powell and Myrna Loy.) Nick and Nora are an equally smart, successful, wise-cracking detective husband and wife team with a cute dog. They're feisty and funny and don't take any BS from one another. The whip smart, fast talking banter they have with each other clearly comes out of love and affection. They have a swell time and they don't take life too seriously.

I've been writing a lot of original TV pilots. I have two new ones I'm in various stages with now. I also have a web series, "Karma's a B*tch" that I created. I wrote 16 episodes for season 1 and for season 2 I co-wrote with TV writer David Schladeweiler. We just shot the first 3 episodes of season 2. The truth is, I find that I'm easily inspired. Movies, nature, people, I find all of it inspiring. I take notes throughout the day so if I need something to get me going when it's time to write, I take a look at some of the ideas I've had. It could be just a character trait, a location, occupation, storyline, anything that gets the ball rolling for me. I always have more than one project at a time so I can choose the one I fell most pulled towards (or the one with the deadline.)

For "Just a Theory, a quantum love adventure," I was watching a documentary about quantum physics and I started to think about what I could be doing in a parallel life. Then I thought, "what if I like that better?" Which sparked the idea for my character, Martin, who is in love with his wife, Abby, but it all happens in one of his parallel lives and he's unable to stay with her at all times.
