J.P. Scott Writing can be very personal. To write something and send it out into the world is a scary thing. What a delight when someone sees it, finds it interesting enough to purchase, reads it, and leaves a review! Knowing someone connected with and enjoyed a story is such a thrill.
J.P. Scott Working on so many things! 1) I'm working to edit and format the Burning Desire series (Spark, Flame, and Blaze) into a combined book set so that readers can enjoy reading the series without purchasing the books separately. 2) Entertaining ideas of expanding the Burning Desire universe with stories about other characters from the books. 3) Continuing the Body Heat series with book 4. We met Cam's former boyfriend in book 2 and this new book will tell his story after their breakup.
J.P. Scott Whenever I feel like my writing isn't flowing, I return to my roots. I pull out a journal and write by hand. I grew up journaling and view the handwritten as a draft that may nor may not ever become something seen by others. It's very freeing. My first published novel was written mainly by hand. I was testing out writing in a different genre, and I was just trying to have fun with what I was writing. It's slower going, but writing by hand creates a nice rhythm on pace with how my brain works.
