Henrietta Hall Shuck is my husband's 3rd great-grandmother. I had heard about her before we married, but I had forgotten about her until I retired and wanted something to write about. I was astounded to learn what a remarkable woman she was and that she and her husband established the first Baptist mission in China in 1835. Chinese Baptists venerate her, and a school is named for her in Hong Kong.
