Elizabeth Famous You're pregnant with your first child and your mom is diagnosed with a horrible cancer and passes away eight weeks later. True story.

[Note: I despise horror stories.]
Elizabeth Famous Is there a novel about a travel writer who explores every region in the world, learning about history and culture? I want to be a sidekick in this person's world.
Elizabeth Famous How my great grandfather's once-thriving agricultural empire, complete with a mint for 'Famous' coins, mysteriously dwindled to become the modest family farm it is today, leaving behind unanswered questions.

In a fictional romance, a local girl forms a deep emotional bond with the son of this prosperous, influential family when they're children, cherishing the time they spend reading together. However, when they reunite as adults, she finds herself harboring romantic feelings for him, while he remains oblivious to anything beyond their childhood friendship. She is content to support him from the sidelines, silently longing for a connection that may never be reciprocated. As they navigate societal expectations and personal aspirations, a bittersweet tension arises, underscoring the contrast between his attainable goals and her seemingly unattainable ones due to patriarchal norms and her lower social status—she aspires to be a school teacher but isn't taken seriously except as a preschool minder.

Although I've never dabbled in historical romance writing, my childhood was filled with adventures exploring dusty crevices in barn buildings and playing on an old carriage seat placed on our front porch. It was almost as if I was transported to another era, immersed in the ambiance of times gone by.
Elizabeth Famous Thank you so much! I just published Pemberley Beach, a contemporary twist on Jane Austen’s beloved Pride and Prejudice set amongst the sun and sand of a modern seashore resort where Elizabeth’s quest to escape the trailer park she grew up in leads her into the path of arrogant Darcy, owner of beachfront Pemberley estate.
Elizabeth Famous Hi, Kari. I'm so glad you enjoyed LOVE AND CANDY, and I have good news for you: my latest novel, LIGHT, BRIGHT & SPARKLING, features Samantha and Delaney ... and their kids! It's the story of Samantha's sister, Annabelle Montclare. Annabelle, who lives and works in LA, receives a visit from Sam's family toward the beginning of the novel, and the story ends at an end-of-summer beach party with all the Montclares in attendance. I believe the scenes with Delaney and Samantha will give you a sense of how their relationship works out. :) Best Wishes, Elizabeth Famous
Elizabeth Famous I'm inspired by the idea of a man who deserves his appeal. To me, the idea of a man declaring himself to be dominant and then adverting for a submissive on Craig's list is lame. If you want to be a dominant, there has to be something intimidating about you, a reason behind your domineering ways: a talent, daunting wealth, intelligence, virtue, personality, wit and/or charisma.
Elizabeth Famous I don't believe I'm experienced enough to give advice. Although I will say that you can't write to satisfy the romance market's demands (tattoos, motorcycles, boxing) but have to be passionate about the story you're telling if you're ever going to be able to bring it to fruition and publish it.
Elizabeth Famous For Light, Bright & Sparkling, I took a trip to LA and traveled all around Hollywood and Beverly Hills to find locations for various scenes between Warren and Annabelle. I was so inspired by a Malibu home with exquisite tile work and a private beach.
Elizabeth Famous A modern version of Pride and Prejudice set in a Southern seashore resort town.

Darcy is a piece of work, such a snob, and Elizabeth does more than flirt with Wickham. Oo la la
Elizabeth Famous Reading over a scene and getting my own enjoyment out of something I've written. I happy cry when I read certain emotional scenes from Love and Candy and Light, Bright & Sparkling.
Elizabeth Famous I take a nap and daydream about farfetched romantic couplings.
