J. Edward Neill With hands bare and bleeding, she dug his bones from the soil. And when she assembled him, he was but a jumble of grey and yellow sticks, moments from waking to his second life.

What books are on your summer reading list this year?

J. Edward Neill As much Haruki Murakami as I can get my hands on. And I'll probably search up some fresh fantasy novels to ignite my return to writing in the genre.

Having nearly finished reading the first season of Hollow Empire I must ask: what was the process like? How did you go about mapping the several different storylines? Also, when will the second season be complete?

How do you get inspired to write?

J. Edward Neill I dream the story.
I wake up and I'm confronted with the harsh realities of...reality.
I fall into my mind's underworld for hours on end.

How do you deal with writer’s block?

J. Edward Neill I'm lucky in that I don't suffer from it. Ever. I'm somewhat inclined to believe it doesn't exist, but I heard a rumor from a friend of a friend that it does.
