I'd probably visit Austenland, but the movie version, not the book. I prefer the movie version. Who wouldn't want their own Mr. Nobley?

I'm really into Jane Austen fan fiction right now, so I'll probably read a lot of that. I particularly like the diary series by Amanda Grange. I'll also read some nonfiction--I especially like books about health topics or writing.

I love Jane Hayes and Henry Nobley from the "Austenland" movie. They are so cute together. Henry is just adorable!

Doing something else creative sometimes helps, like drawing, coloring, etc. I start thinking about topics that I like and let my mind wander. Sometimes the topic you originally pick, is not the final topic. Ideas evolve.

Don't give up. It is a long process. Find people who have strengths in the areas where you're weaker. For example, look into ways to get help with marketing, if you're more of an introvert.

After a substantial break, I have begun to focus on children's picture books, so I have been working on various projects in that genre. I think of myself as a humorist ultimately, and that is the genre I most enjoy.

I find that movement helps, particularly walking or driving. That's when I get a lot of my ideas. Also, I start thinking about topics that I like and see if any ideas come out of that. Solitude helps a lot. I eliminate as many distractions as possible. Stress is an enemy of my creativity.

My recent focus has been on children's picture books, so I'll answer regarding "Stella Ducktropolis." I've always been interested in the idea of superheroes, but I wanted Stella's crime fighting ability and tools to come from her own ingenuity and intelligence, not some external force. I wanted her to be sassy, intelligent, and funny. I hope I've achieved that.
