I am inspired by the struggles and challenges that people around me face. I feel that some people are unable to express themselves so I feel inspired to share stories to reach out to others.

My first book was inspired by my personal life and the people around me. Now I am inspired by other authors and movies. I think I am a people person so it definitely people who inspire me to write. I was obsessed with my life being like a hollywood movie when I was younger so I think writing gives me the chance to become different characters and live out different lives.

I currently have two ideas and not sure which one to pursue first. One is a much darker, serial killer type story (with gay themed characters). The other is more of a forbidden love story. I need to pick one pretty soon and get writing :-)

Just give it a go. With indie publishing everyone can now achieve their dream of being a published writer. The great thing about books is that the audience is huge and there will always be someone who will connect with and appreciate your writing. What do you have to lose?!

Receiving positive feedback from readers and hearing that your work has made a difference to their life.

I use a range of thinking/visual tools to brainstorm possible ideas and then I return to them a number of times. I am also recognising the value of reading in helping my own creativity. So if I cant think of my own things to write I look for inspiration in the work of others.
