Hi Mary, I'm glad you enjoyed my books. My husband would say that he's my inspiration. :) But for me, it's about my characters. I love writing those scenes because they allow me to show my characters at their most vulnerable and have some fun. In those scenes, my characters' emotions come through. They can be happy or angry and it's those emotions that drive the dialogue and what happens. When it comes to the action, I like to shake things up, but I tend to stay true to my characters and what would be natural for them.

I don't wait for inspiration. I make sure that I sit down with my laptop and write every day. Even when I don't feel like writing, I find that, once I turn on my laptop and start typing, I fall in love with my story again and want to keep going.

I have a couple of ways to deal with writer's block. I usually have a couple of projects I'm working on so I'll move onto one of the other projects. If that doesn't help, I go for a walk. I've had many ideas come to me while out for a walk.
