Simone Pond That book is currently with my agent so it's not published yet :)
Simone Pond Knowing the secret to finding contentment in all situations.
Simone Pond I actually would like to visit the City Center, which is a fictional world I created for my first novel. Whenever I think about the world building for that story, I miss it. Although the truth of what was happening underneath the surface wasn't pleasant, the outside (or rather inside) world of the city center itself was beautiful and pristine and had such cool technology. I'd like to experience a day in the life and take a tour of the place.
Simone Pond Oh, there are so many! But if I have to pick one, I'll go back to a simple friendship that inspired me as a child: Wilbur and Charlotte in Charlotte's Web. This was such an unlikely friendship and what blossomed from it was not only the beauty of intimacy with each other, but finding confidence and self-assurance through their support. It's not a romantic couple, but it's one that has always stayed in my heart.
Simone Pond Hi Carly! Someone once told me, "If you want to be a writer - write." So I stick to that rule daily. I have a blog where I post articles about my experience as an indie author, so you might find some tips: simonesaysblog.com. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions and want to get into more specifics. My favorite thing is encouraging and working with other writers. Happy writing!
Simone Pond I'm currently working on the fourth book in the series that I'm hoping to launch sometime this summer. After that, I'm not sure. I usually don't know until my characters start telling me they have more things they want to do. They're relentless. :)
Simone Pond I just keep writing, even if it's horrible. I know I can always go back and edit. Editing is where the real writing magic happens.
Simone Pond I get to make stuff up and share my ideas with the world.
Simone Pond I'm working on The Mainframe, which is the third book in my current series.
Simone Pond Sometimes when I'm working I'll come up with a solution for a scene or character. And sometimes in church I'll get a really interesting idea that changes everything. But the best inspiration comes from sitting down and writing. For me, it's about writing every day. When I don't practice discipline, I get lazy and the creative juices start drying up.
Simone Pond While I was writing the first book in the series, The City Center, I thought it'd be cool to go back in time and see Chief Morray before he became the evil tyrant he was in The City Center.
