For me, the memory of my mother and daughter has been the inspiration. It's very difficult to do anything when you are bereaved, but this acted as a form of therapy

When my mother died I found black bin liners full of her letters written to her mother from 1940-1973. I thought it would be a wonderful tribute to her; then my 21year-old daughter died suddenly in 2011 and the work was disrupted, but it suddenly became clear that I had to finish the book in memory of both of them. They were very close.
