W. Franklin Lattimore When you begin to write, push through to the end. Whether you think it's worthy of others reading or not, it's your first book, and that is worth the effort in and of itself. Your first book is about effort and bulldog tenacity. It proves that you've got what it takes to take a story from beginning to end. Whether it's a short story or a full-blown novel, your dogged determination to finish it is going to put you into the ranks of the very few who qualify to be called authors.
W. Franklin Lattimore "Old Jeep"

For one man, life can easily be summed up with two simple words: money and influence.

For another, life is a sum of its missing parts—friends and a wife whose lives were cut too short.

The paths of these men will cross, and one will present the other with what sounds like a simple question—a question that will ultimately change both of their lives forever: "Are you the one?"

Old Jeep is a WWII novel about the pain-filled memories of one man—Gaylord "Jeep" Patterson—who, in the aftermath of his experiences in Europe, fought desperately to bury and forget each and every one of them. He succeeded ... until one fateful day in 2010, when he lost the love of his life—his war bride, Bella.

Compelled by years of Bella's encouragement to remember the friends he lost during the war, he spends the waning years of his life trying to fulfill her desire. Now, Gaylord must quickly identify the specific person who is to hear the emotional, first-time telling of his friends' stories before he, too, dies.
W. Franklin Lattimore It occurred to me that there are so many people in the world who have had experiences that will never be remembered after they die. Some of these experiences SHOULD be remembered by those who remain behind. The experiences are a tribute to a life that was important and necessary in other people's lives. "Old Jeep" is a story about a 93-year-old man whose memories are a tribute to friends he lost during the war in Europe. But someone needs to hear them and record them before he, too, dies.
