Hi! I recently discovered your books. I read Diffidence and the Rift first, I loved it and I just wanted to ask whether there would be a sequel or even short stories? Maybe about Diff's Rift consultations or a scene at the Goblin market? I also read the Consulting Magic series and To Hive and To Hold series I loved and enjoyed them too :) ♡
Amy Crook Hi! Diffidence might be getting further adventures, but first we have Consulting Magic 5, and The Future of Magic (Hive series) 3! In fact, To Make and to Mark will be out in December, hopefully, to give you some more of Arthur and Jade to tide you over. Thanks!!

Loved the Consulting Series and then Found To Hive and To Hold (which is when I discovered cozy fantasy) and I keep coming back to looking for news on a sequel. What do you consider "early" 2024? BTW, I really enjoy your world building. :)
Amy Crook Thanks, Tyler! I'm hoping for February, but as that's the worst shortest month it's still just a hope. I've got to do the final editing pass and the layout still!

Just finishing To Hive and To Hold and I'm in love with it. Is it going to be part of a series?
Amy Crook It is! I have a couple of chapters written and a plan for a sequel that embroils our poor lads in interspecies politics and also brings the focus onto Rixt for some insight into dragon culture. I'm also introducing a new character, Basil, the son of the Premier of United London.

I just found your books through a recommendation on a Facebook group for To Hive And To Hold and am about to start the Consulting magic Series but I just had to ask, are both series in the same universe/world or should I consider them different?
Amy Crook They're completely different series, worlds, and characters. I hope you enjoy them, though! (Also, Rosemary for the Holidays goes after the 2nd book, to avoid minor spoilers, but Untrue Love can be read at any time since it's Alex & Murielle's first case together.)

Hi, I just finished The Guardianship and I love the entire series. Will there be a book 4? Even is there is a book 4, this one seemed the end of the cooperation between Alex and Lapointe, did I interpret that correctly??

Food is a big part of your books, do you have a process for writing that sort of detail? Do you go looking for ideas, just come up with stuff that sound good, do you actually get to make/eat all those delicious things?! And is there any chance of a recipe or two at the back of the new book for those of us who don't have access to/familiarity with all those tasty things and get very hungry while reading?
Amy Crook It's a pretty seat-of-the-pants process that involves a lot of googling and sifting through my brain for things I've eaten! For the Courtship dinner I had to google up the proper format for a 7-course meal, and then I mixed up some sample menus with food I'd eaten and some things that I found poking around online. A lot the Saveur truffles are just wishful thinking, though I've had some amazing truffles from artisan chocolatiers. I shall have to see what recipes I have available since a lot of it is modeled off food I've had in restaurants rather than made myself.

Mostly, though, lots of googling and making myself hungry!

Last book was from Julian's view point. Which direction are you going with this one? Also Yay! I've really wanted a sequal. Love this series.

I love your books! I've re-read them several times, and they have become comfort reads for me. And boy, do I need some comfort these days! I guess I need to give you a question. Do you have an expected publish date? :)
Amy Crook Thank you so much! It is a time of needing much comfort. I don't have a date right now, it depends on the real world and how much time I can eke out for editing in the next while. Not to mention needing to draw the cover art, heh.
