Ben Ireland Any chance to talk Billy Blacksmith is not a bother!
I am always on the look out for beta readers. I'll keep you in mind when book 5 is done.
I'd like to think there will be more Billy X Ashes romance, but Billy is pretty thick when it comes to girls. I'm not sure he's going to get with the program before Ash-Lea loses interest. We can hope. :)
Andrew, I was wondering what your favorite part of the Billy Blacksmith series has been so far? It's always interesting to hear the different parts that stand out to different folks. And it's usually not what I would have expected.
Sincerely, Ben.
Ben Ireland Hey, Andrew, thanks for reaching out! There are a few books I enjoyed so much I had to read them more than once. It means so much to me that Billy is that book for you.
Candice and I are working our butts off to get Billy 4 done. We hope to have it done by Spring 2021. I hate making you wait so long, but Billy needs to be as good as he can be before I let him out into the world. And there is this pandemic thing you may have heard of. It kind of threw off most of my plans for this year. :)
Candice is such a great editor for Billy, and really gets the heart of the series. I'm really lucky to be able to work with her.
Thank you for asking. Feel free to hit me up with any questions you have. I love talking Billy Blacksmith.
Sincerely, Ben.
Ben Ireland Get out while you still can!
Ben Ireland Hey Andrew! The Billy series (officially The Blacksmith Legacy) will have 8 novels (like Demonslayer, Hellforged, and Ironsoul) and two addendums (Like Bleakwood Lore).
Then there will be two follow up novels with Selanthiel's story, and a story about an angel we haven't met yet.
Thank you for reading!
Ben Ireland Writing.
Oh. That's too short.
But seriously, it's writing.
Ben Ireland Normally I don't respond to questions posed by faceless websites--there's something impersonal about them-- but I felt moved to answer this one.

I've never actually dealt with writer's block. It may be because I don't write professionally, so I never have the looming pressure of a deadline. Though I think it is most likely due to obsessively outlining of my work before I begin. If I come close to experiencing anything like writer's block, it happens in the outlining process. Though at that point, it's less a block and more of a challenge to determine what my characters have to do to make it past that certain obstacle.
