OMG! Always, always, hire an editor. I made the huge mistake of not hiring one and to be honest, when I first started writing, I was not that good with microsoft word and all of the nifty little things that it can do for you. Like spell check, grammar review, etc. It's quite embarrassing now.

Imagination makes the world a better place. Writing takes me away from everyday struggles that I see in the world around me. It's crazy when some of my stories have such terrible beginnings or history with them, however, each event usually means something and I destress.

I usually don't come to battle with writer's block. I sit down when an idea comes to mind and try to map it out, yes, I set up a very extensive outline complete with every scene I want to take place in every chapter. That way, I don't have an issue with freezing up.

My kids always inspire me. My hard work and dedication in my work as a nurse and as a writer is all for them. I use my experiences in life to add to the story lines as well.
