J.R. Jackson I don't believe in writer's block. Some writer's get it, some don't. To me, writer's block is like stress, self-induced therefore controllable and preventable.

If you can't bang out at least 500 words a day about anything, literally anything, it doesn't have to be part of your book or current work, just 500 words of rough draft material, then try something else because writing isn't for you.
J.R. Jackson I'd have to say the women, the fast cars and the kick ass parties.

Seriously though, the best thing is the fans. Without them, we writers would have no outlet and no market.
J.R. Jackson Stop aspiring. You're either an author or someone who wants to be an author, i.e., aspiring to be or do something.
J.R. Jackson I'm currently working on the last 2 books in the Up From the Depths series. Book 5, Defilade and Book 6 Secondary Objectives.
J.R. Jackson Inspiration hits at the strangest times. Most of my inspiration comes to me in the early morning just after I wake up and am still in bed. The ideas that form at that time get me motivated enough to get out of bed, eat a quick breakfast and hit the keyboard.
J.R. Jackson I'm not real sure how answer this question. If the question was to pertain to the entire series, then I'd have to say that I got the idea after reading several really bad zombie apocalyptic novels and watching the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead. The opening montage of news clips in that film started me thinking about each of the events depicted.
