I get into imaginary fist fights in my car on the way to work and listen to smooth Jazz on the radio. I have conversations with my characters on long walks and stare blankly off into the distance and wonder why I do this to myself.

Hours of pacing around in circles and explaining half baked plots over the phone to family members only to call back embarrassed a week later with a new half baked embarrassing plot. Finally, sitting on a bus to Idaho with a bunch of sweaty national guardsmen, I got desperate and found Parks in the seat beside me. We hashed it all out.
