Jason Medina There are no mysteries in my life, but I have been keeping a journal since 1989, so if there was a life story about me, it would be easy to get source material.
Jason Medina This is too easy. I've known the answer to this question since I was very young. I'd travel to the planet Coruscant, which was the capital of the Republic and eventually of the Galactic Empire. There is a lot of history of the galaxy to be found there and I like to do research. I would hope to be a Jedi Knight, but I know that would take time. Maybe I'd settle for being a mercenary/smuggler. Less rules to worry about. All I'd need is a fast star ship and a handy blaster by my side. If you are still lost, read more Star Wars books.
Jason Medina The Manhattanville Incident is not a poem. It is a six story novel about the zombie apocalypse with over 1000 pages. I am currently working on a sequel, which will be significantly shorter in length, but hopefully just as good. It will eventually be a trilogy of books.
Jason Medina It was late-winter on a very cold night when I awoke in the middle of the night to the sound of screaming. I looked all around me and realized my bedroom and bed was on fire and my wife was burning, which meant I was next!
Jason Medina I plan to read a few zombie books to use as inspiration for the next book I am writing.
Jason Medina I will definitely make updates when the time comes. I still have a lot of editing and reviewing to do. There are so many photos to choose from. The written portion is essentially done. Can you recall where you lived more or less? Perhaps a landmark that was near the house? Were you close to the water?
Jason Medina Fortunately, I have not experienced writer's block, yet. However, if and when I do, I have other hobbies that can help inspire me to write. I like reading books, reading comic books, painting, and traveling. Sometimes you can just draw from your own experiences and you can think of something good that you can use. Or switch to another story. I have several books I want to work on, so if I suddenly feel like writing about something different, I can work on a different book, until I get the mood to return to the previous one. That's one major reason I do not like working with deadlines.
Jason Medina Being able to use your imagination with almost no limits. You can write any kind of story you want because there will always be an audience for it. If you don't like how the story is going, you can always change it.
Jason Medina If you get an idea, write it down. Even if you don't get back to that idea for several years, you know it's already written down. You can always add to it later and when you are ready to work on it, at least you won't be starting from scratch. By then you might have a plot and a few story elements. At times, I use the Word application on my cellphone and write out parts of my books, as I think of them. Later I'll email it to myself and edit it on my computer. Don't let any ideas go to waste.
Jason Medina Right now I am trying to finish up a book I began in 2008. It's the definitive history on the abandoned Kings Park Psychiatric Center on Long Island. I hope to have it completed before 2016.
Jason Medina I have always liked writing stories, since I was a small boy. I suppose I was largely inspired by the games I played with my "Star Wars" action figures. Those games always turned into such long sagas.
Jason Medina During my first trip to New Orleans, I knew right away I had to write a book about that place. It's such a fascinating city with an equally fascinating history. My latest novel, "A Ghost In New Orleans," will be available this summer.
