I'm not sure about mystery, but I have gone through a hell of a lot in my lifetime. Especially in the last few years. I'm positive I've been hexxed. I joke about it, but believe it wholeheartedly. A lot of these situations could make for one hell of a plot. The question is if I'm far enough removed from them to not be triggered by writing it out.

Intriguing...let me try.
The chills ran up and down her spine until she felt tingles throughout her whole body. "Who's out there?" she called into the darkness, her breath leaving a cold fog in the air.

Oh wow, this is an awesome question! I would actually travel to the Animorphs world. I loved that they could become animals. I'd obviously want to figure out what I'd morph into and what I could do with that.

Eeeeek! I haven't had much time to read myself between everything else. But I know for sure I had Verity by Colleen Hoover on my mind!

Hmm, would probably have to be Damon & Elena from Vampire Diaries. Their connection, love, relationship - all of it is what I'd love to experience some day. :)

Hey Sara!
Thanks for dropping in. Happy to have you. :) The Infinite Love series does not have to be read in order, however because all the characters are connected in a way, it may be a better experience to read them in their intended order. However, all are standalones, focusing on different couples.

Lol. Thank you very much! I appreciate that. :)

Hey there!
Thank you very much for the question. The first two books in the series are YA, but they are YA-mature. There is sex, but it is more fade to black. The last two books are NA, and they are more on the side of erotic romance, because the sex is detailed out.

I write my outlines on paper. I plot out everything that I want to happen within the book, chapter by chapter. And a lot of the time my outlines have actual dialogue or situations I will use directly in the story. But as far as writing the book goes, I try to write it directly from the computer. That way I'm not taking double the time writing it long-handed and then transferring to the computer. :)

Favorite character would probably be Mason Kade from the Fallen Crest High series by Tijan. He is swoon-worthy. Favorite character I've written? I'd say Cullen from my zombie novel, Into the Darkness. He is British, a U.S. soldier, and sexy!!

I was born in Salem, Oregon, which is also where I currently reside. Most of my stories take place in different cities. My Foundation series takes place in Ohio, around the area one of my favorite bands, Hawthorne Heights is from. My Infinite Love series takes place in Oregon where I am from along with Montana, Kauai, and California.

Most of the ideas I come up with are based off of reality; real personalities, real situations, real conversations, and real problems. Others I have come up with were based off of very intense dreams that I had for months on end.

Yes, the majority of the books that I write have elements of romance in them. All of my Infinite Love Series (My Forever, Beautifully Broken, and Against All Odds) and my Foundation series (Pieces of Me and the Fighter) have major romantic elements. :)

Play hooky. Haha. But honestly, I attempt to read more and watch more to get my creative juices flowing again.

EVERYONE needs to understand the value of a good hooky day once in a while. Even as a parent, I allow my kids 1 a quarter (much to some other kids/parents/teachers' annoyance... but i believe "kids" are just small people- they ARE people too, with the same needs we adults have. they need a break too.) I have used hooky days for any number of things, but my youngest, now 15 and creating a very story-based video game uses his hooky days just for writing and creating now. I love that this was your first impulse advice. :)

The satisfaction that someone understood what you were trying to portray with your words. When someone tells me my story helped them or taught them a lesson, it's priceless.

You can do anything you want to do, you just have to NOT give up. There will always be good days and bad days--good reviews and bad reviews--it's how you move on after that counts.

The sequel to Pieces of Me. It is titled the Fighter and I have roughly about 15,000-20,000 more words left before it is finished. So close, yet so far.

Wattpad is my daily inspiration. I cannot say enough great things about that website. It really has changed my life. I love hearing the feedback from my readers it fuels me to write.
Of course positive reviews and beta reads help just as much!

It is the sequel to Pieces of Me (the first book in my Foundation series). It was just fleshing out more of a character we had all grown to love in the first book and really getting into his head.
I continue with my realistic fiction approach covering a slew of hard topics.
