I smash it with a hammer! Seriously, though...a hammer works great.
My writer's block arises when I realize I have a plot hole. I usually diagram on dry erase boards, talk about it with my husband (he's a wonderful muse) or take a walk. It's generally a short lived problem; I'll knock on wood now.
