Susan D. Kalior Even if your eventual goal is to make a living as a writer, don't write for the public. Write for yourself, from deep down inside yourself. Do not dictate the story, let it unfold as it will and see where it takes you. This makes, not only an exciting experience for you, but will give your story the makings of a timeless classic.
Susan D. Kalior Writing for me is an expression of who I am, and even more, an exploration of who I am. There are no boundaries to confine me. I am free.
Susan D. Kalior I think writer's block happens when we try too hard, feel too much pressure to meet a deadline, or are distracted by events that occur in our daily lives.
Given this understanding, I don't get writers block. If I give myself to the story by turning off my controlled thinking, I tumble into the moment and the story becomes my whole world. It becomes the channel that gives my deepest self a voice. In that release, my outer world turns bright.
