Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Eartha Watts Hicks A while back, I lost my godmother to breast cancer and shortly after, I lost my grandfather to cancer. Because my godmother was such a strong powerful woman, the helplessness of watching her languish was devastating. To help myself make sense of these feelings, I needed to express them and put them somewhere constructive.
