Sara Lodge We fail to address the climate catastrophe. People starve; rivers dry up; animals and birds and fish die out; all because we couldn't imagine consuming less, acting collaboratively rather than competitively, and putting future needs ahead of present desires.
Sara Lodge Good question! I'd certainly like to travel to a world with magic in it. As a child I was mesmerised by Elizabeth Goudge's The Little White Horse and badly wanted to visit Moonacre Manor. So perhaps I would do that. I have always cultivated salmon-pink geraniums, like one of the characters in that novel.
Sara Lodge I've been reading lots of different genres: from Myles Dungan's Land is All That Matters to Rob Macfarlane's Is A River Alive? I'm currently enjoying Bernardine Evaristo's autobiography and am planning to read Margaret Atwood's.
Sara Lodge As it happens, I've never met my biological father. That could definitely be a plot point in a Victorian novel...
