This summer's reading list will be a combination of fiction and nonfiction. I will, of course, continue my daily Bible reading. Right now I'm in the Gospel of John. I will also continue with my two devotionals.
My nonfiction list includes Break into Fiction, How to Make Your Book Sound Good, Understand Show Don't Tell, & How to Write a Sizzling Synopsis.
My fiction list (so far) includes middle-grade fiction books (my favorite writing genre): The Supernatural Adventures of Ryan Bumble, and the first two Thomas Holland Series books.
Mainly I will be reading and rereading Life's Journey which is my newest project, the prologue to the Adi's World Saga. It will be shared with all readers of my Adi's World Newsletter. If you want a copy (when it's ready), you can join the group at: www.josjourney.com.
Happy reading everyone!

My newest book, Life's a Journey, was inspired by students that I met while doing school author visits. They often asked where my tiny characters came from. My answer was always that I'd share that in the series prologue. I have finally done that! You can get a free copy of the prologue by signing up for the Adi Newsletter at: www.josjourney.com
The idea for Living the Secret developed as I wrote Adi's World. The characters of Ayden and Jayden just grew. They have their own story to tell and Living the Secret is their chance to tell it.
The idea for Adi came to me over 30 years ago when I was walking my dogs. I saw a tree that was rotting from the inside. I stuck my head in (not a smart move, by the way) and thought that a hollow tree would make a great setting for a story. And it did!
The last two books in the first Adi's World series are actually one long story. It shares how the young heroes face trememdous problems and survive through believing in the positives and teamwork.
