Judy King It's surely different for fiction writers; as a non-fiction writer. if I'm blocked, it usually means I need to look at the direction I'm headed or I need to think again about my research in relationship to the circumstance or consider another angle.
Judy King Some of us need an artistic outlet, we need to release that "current" that is within us each day through music or art or writing or cooking or sewing or flower arranging or setting a lovely table.

Writing is the best of the best of those outlets -- my passion is my work, and I can work at home, in my most favorite "get up" at dawn, at noon, or in the middle of the night. My time, my space, my music, my coffee, my choice, my passion. What could be better?
Judy King I guess I am a teacher at heart. I great up in a family of teachers and I'm inspired to write when I have information I am passionate about sharing.
Judy King Coming Home: Real Stories of Mexican Migrants is a book with double chapters. Half of each chapter is an interview with a local migrant who has come back. It is matched with a journalistic piece that delves into the migration issues within the interview. So few Americans really understand what migration looks like, when we consider one man or woman. and not the broad swath.
Judy King When I moved to Lake Chapala in 1990 I had a lot of questions and no where to find the answers. I started digging for answers, learning about obscure bits of superstition and of how things work and then sharing that information with others who were newer than I and were questioning.
