I cannot WAIT to read Temporary High--Running on Empty was SO good, I am jonesing for MORE! I notice the release date for Temporary High keeps getting pushed back...is that a bad sign? Will your publisher be releasing it someday?!? Or is it dying a slow demise in publisher hell? I hope not! You're on my Keeper Shelf already!!! :)
Colette Ballard Awww, thank you so much for the kind words & excitement, Griz Girl!:) Day. Made. There have been some changes at my publisher which has led to many pushes in release dates, but I am super hopeful that TH won't die a slow death in publisher hell;)

What are you currently working on?
Colette Ballard I just finished revising a previous work-in-progress that I wrote over a year ago. It's a YA contemp. told in alternating view points and I LOVE it!!! It was so much fun to write and I did tons of interesting research. Stay tuned...:)

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Colette Ballard Taking the craziness that constantly swirls around in my brain, and putting it to good use:) So. Much. Fun!

What's your favorite thing about Kat, the main character in your upcoming novel, TEMPORARY HIGH?
Colette Ballard I love that Kat is comfortable in her own skin. I think it's a rare quality in teen girls...and adult women for that matter:)
Kat was such a fun character to write in RUNNING ON EMPTY and I'm so happy that she's getting her own book!

Read. Write. Revise. Study the craft. Make realistic...and seemingly unrealistic goals for yourself. Enter contests. Join or create a critique group.
Read. Write. Revise. Infinity...
Don't. Give. Up! (You never know when that YES is right around the corner:))

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Colette Ballard Walking always seems to help me. Nothing like some fresh air and movement to wake my brain up. Also, putting pen to paper the old-fashioned way. If neither of those work, i have some amazing critique partners who will listen to me:)
