Hi, Marcia. I have one more chapter to write, then I'll need to go back and edit the book. I'm hoping to get it published this spring.
Thanks for being a Trudie Fine fan!

Jackie,
Thanks so much for such nice words and for being a fan of my writing.
I hope to have the next Trudie Fine mystery out sometime in the fall. But you might want to check out my new novella, just out last week, called Pineapples and Pearls. It's actually a fan fiction book that's part of the Lei Crime Kindle World series and is available only through Amazon on kindle.
Thank you again! Gale

Elizabeth Bennett and Darcy from Pride and Prejudice are the perfect literary couple. Their relationship, their initial dislike for each other with eventual admiration and then love, carries the entire book. As readers, we are drawn to both of them, enjoy the wars waging within them, and are rewarded with a very satisfying ending.

I wanted to bring to the forefront a couple of minor characters from book one, A Fine Fix, and put them in the limelight with Trudie. May Dubois was such a rich character in the first book who needed to emerge and take a major role in book two.
Some of my readers noticed the lawyer Alan Bernstein's wink of interest in Trudie, so as her relationship builds in this book with Detective Daniel Goldman, Alan creates some friction between the two.

My character, Trudie Fine, inspires me to write her stories. She is a protagonist that the average woman can relate to and commiserate with. I hope my readers can look at Trudie and begin to overlook their own perceived "physical flaws" and let themselves shine from the inside.

Fine Dining, the second book in the Trudie Fine Mystery Series just released and I am about to begin book three, Fine Arts. I have some morsels of a story running through my head and hope to simmer them together into a delicious stew.

Writing! It seems like a lonely occupation, but nothing gives me more of a high than sitting in my home office, just the four walls and my computer creating characters and scenes.

Usually what seems like writer's block is the fear that when I do sit down in front of the computer screen, I won't be able to come up with anything. I've found that doing just that -- sitting down at my computer to write -- somehow helps me find the words. And once I start, I can't stop.
