Lyn Farrrell My grandfather created the U.S. contribution to the Paris War Museum at the end of WWI. It was in the Invalides Museum for decades. My husband and his son, my aunt and others saw it, but when I sent to Paris 9 years ago to see it, it wasn't there. I don't speak French but on questioning the woman at the reception desk, whose English was poor, I learned that they had recently re-done the Museum and all the material not included was sent to some Army base in the south of France. I have been unable to even get the name of the base despite writing multiple time to the Curator of Invalides and having my letter translated into French by a Native French speaker.
Lyn Farrrell The book I'm about to start working on is a cozy murder mystery. I got the idea for it from a friend who is an EMT. He got a call to pick up a guy who was dying from an insulin overdose. My friend got suspicious and found a needle mark under the man's little toe. Great idea for a mystery.
Lyn Farrrell Everything pretty much gives me ideas, but I am a natural born story teller and life itself gives me tons of thoughts.
Lyn Farrrell Subscribe to Publisher's Weekly. Watch for your genre and note the agents that are selling. Then research those agents in depth, and prepare a careful query letter. If you have reached your limit of rejections, see the Create Space program on amazon. It's terrific for Indie publishing.
Lyn Farrrell The flexibility in time and the chance to be published, something I've wanted all my life
Lyn Farrrell I am not cursed with this issue. I do a chapter by chapter outline of the book before I start and then follow it pretty carefully. If I find myself dithering about something, I stop for that day and often overnight I will be granted an insight.
Lyn Farrrell Under the pen name Lia Farrell and with daughter Lisa, I write the Mae December mystery series. We have completed the third book in the series, called "Three Dog Day". It will come out December first.
