Amy Sumida Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry, I totally missed this message. There has probably been several out since you asked this, and I just released #25 last month. I'll be working on #26 soon. I'm so glad you're enjoying them. Thank you so much for your question.
Amy Sumida I'm so sorry, Peggy, I just saw this. I don't come on Goodreads as often as I should. Monsoons and Monsters is available (you probably already know that). You can get it here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077CYYRL1
Amy Sumida Hi Sara,
I'm shooting for February of next year, but honestly, I've been writing super fast lately, and I may get it out a lot sooner. I'll be working on the next Godhunter, and then I start on Black Market Magic. Have you signed up for my newsletter? I mainly send out new release info, and you get a free gift for signing up. You can sign up here: http://google.us11.list-manage.com/su...
Thank you for your interest,
Amy
Amy Sumida Good catch! Thank you, it'll be taken care of :)
Amy Sumida I'm writing two books currently. One is book 20 in my Godhunter Series, Cry Werewolf. The other is the first book in my upcoming Spellsinger Series. I'm very excited about the new world I'm creating. The first book will be called The Last Lullaby, and it's about a spellsinger, a woman who is part witch and part siren. Elaria Tanager can make music into magic, and is only limited by the lyrics of a song. She uses her talent to make a living as a fixer in the supernatural community called The Beneath.
I should have both books out by February.
Amy Sumida Being able to inspire others with my words. Anytime a reader tells me that my books have helped them handle trauma, or have inspired them to do things they wouldn't normally have done, I feel like my life path has been justified. It's an awesome feeling.
Amy Sumida Don't give up, and don't read reviews. If you love your story, then others will too. Be strong in your support of it, but understand that everyone has different opinions, and statistically, it's impossible for your story to not have people who hate it. There will be haters. There will be people who love one character/scene/line/etc, and then other people who hate that same character/scene/line/etc. That's just how it is. Accept that early on, and don't focus on the negatives. They will only make you question yourself, and lose your love for writing.
Amy Sumida I lay down and forget about it for awhile. Your brain works better when you're not actively focusing on trying to find a solution to a problem, and it works the same way for creativity. Being prone also stimulates your creative parts in your brain, so I have a lie down, and just daydream. That's when I get my best ideas.
