Gia Volterra De Saulnier Hello, I think you can just go to the group page and post there. I don't usually post here (sorry). I think a better option is to go onto the Facebook page "Promoting Picture Books" - hope that helps.
Gia Volterra De Saulnier My book is for ages 5 to 9 really, but any parent can read it to a younger child :). What age group is your book for?
Gia Volterra De Saulnier I knew that trying to promote my own Picture Book was a struggle and I had been doing promoting for our other events. I also had a page to help promote other musicians and performers from that type of genre and saw that it got popular rather quickly. I decided to try a page on FB to help other PB authors and illustrators and so far, it's been pretty successful. :)
Gia Volterra De Saulnier Lots of chocolate. Coffee helps sometimes.
Gia Volterra De Saulnier I think the best thing about being a writer is that you can create something magical or unreal that the reader wants to know. I like that I can educate kids about music - I mean, how cool is that?
Gia Volterra De Saulnier Start writing. Really, it's that simple. Read your favorite authors, see how they are writing. Get on Wattpad, that's a great place to look at new authors that you may never have known about. Go write short fiction pieces. Know your audience too.
Gia Volterra De Saulnier Well, I started to write a YA novel, but I'm so new to that - I'm not sure I will pull it off, but I think the story does need to be told.

It's about a young teen girl whose parents are Renaissance folks and she just starts High school...
Gia Volterra De Saulnier I think my ten year old boy has inspired me the most to just write. He has a hard time writing, but his imagination is just amazing. I like to also listen to good jazz music and then start writing.
Gia Volterra De Saulnier I actually wrote this book for a class in Bunker Hill College. Since I am a jazz flutist, that's what I decided to do the book about. Although I am toying with a "Boogie in Bluestown" book to talk about Blues.
