I write every day, two hours. No matter what I sit in front of the computer and turn on my music. Even if my mind is blank. Then I open the manuscript, and read the most recently written chapter. Suddenly, I'm writing. Writer's block is very rare if you're committed to working every day, no matter what.

I'm often working on my blog and/or speaking locally about technology and the future. In addition, I've begun a historical fantasy novel about the forgotten Pharaoh of Egypt, Ankhmakis, who was the last Egyptian to be crowned Pharaoh in 200 BC. Yes, that's when the Ptolemy's reigned, and that's why Ankhmakis is called the rebel king. This is a story of love, magic, power and betrayal.

I create playlists like a soundtrack, for each novel I'm working on. When I sit down to write, I play the playlist and instantly am transferred into the world I'm working in.

The idea for eHuman Dawn came from a dream I had, in which I was actually Adam, the main character, running through the streets of an abandoned city as power was going out, block by block. A blonde woman, who would later become Dawn, explained that we needed power to keep our robotic bodies alive, thus we were in danger. From there, the trilogy was born.
