How do you structure your books? Do you always have a beginning and end in your head before you write and then fill in the rest. Or do you have an idea for a story and just keep adding to it until you see the full picture?
Lanie Jacobs My name and structure doesn't fit in the same sentence and when I hear the word organize I just laugh and laugh. My first book was different than the one I am working on now. For Amaranthine, I saw the ending in my head, and knew how I wanted the prologue, and then had to work on the rest and began brainstorming until I came up the plots and storyline I wanted. The one I am working on now, sort of came the same way, I know the ending, I know the major scenes, I just had to work on the storyline to get all together to make sense. And now that I have gone back and re-read your question, I see the last part ~which I didnt pay attention to because I wanted to answer them one by one~ I pretty much get the idea by seeing a scene and then just work on the rest to make it make sense and see the story in my head....have a good day lol

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Lanie Jacobs I just push that off and go enjoy my husband and kids. I have a really laid back approach, when it comes it comes. So far I have only had it once, so I stopped for a couple of months and just enjoyed my loved ones.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Lanie Jacobs I get to write about what I love. I love the world of paranormal romance...on top of that I get to write it the way I want!

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Lanie Jacobs Always carry a notebook and pen with you. ALWAYS...even by your bed. You knew know when a good idea will come to you and if you don't write it down you may not fully remember it.

Lanie Jacobs I am currently working on a book that I will more than likely call Lost Souls :)

How do you get inspired to write?
Lanie Jacobs I carry a notepad with me and write down all my good ideas. When I have one that I really like I just start brainstorming and that is how it starts for me

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Lanie Jacobs Ive always loved to read, in middle school I got into a writing contest and came in 2nd....since then I have always wrote my thoughts down and one day I was reading a book and thinking to myself, I really dont like the way this is going and I was screaming in my head...noooooo! LOL so I decided to take writing classes.
