How do you get inspired to write?

Michelle R. York Anything can inspire me to write...anything from a rainy day with blustery wind blowing leaves around to just finding my comfy PJs that have been missing at the bottom of a drawer. Anything that happens in life can be used in your writing as a jumping off point for "what if..."

Michelle R. York You need to show up at the page every day and write and don't give up.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Michelle R. York The best thing about being a writer is getting those pesky characters out of my head and into books so they stop clamoring at me with their scenes and stories. Its a relief to get a scene out of my head and onto paper sometimes.

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Michelle R. York When I have writers block it usually means I don't like the direction a story is heading so I go to that point in the story and imagine what else might happen to make a better, more interesting storyline.
