I don't write horror - except one story in my short story collection, An Angel Among Us, called The Well. Check that one out. It will give you chills! It did me too - I had nightmares about it and had to write it down.
She walked into the dark room without her flashlight.
She never knew what grabbed her from behind but felt the claws dig into her throat so that she couldn't scream.
How's that?

Thank you for this intriguing question.
I think I would like to travel to a future Earth to see where we are in maybe 100 years. Have we conquered cancer, ALS, Parkinson's, MS, Alzheimer's? What would I do there? I would enlist the help of medical professionals to work toward the cures for these diseases. In this other world I would want to be a miracle worker who can heal others. I have been thinking of such a subject for a book one day.
Best wishes,

Thanks for your question. I plan to read about thirty books over the summer from my extensive TBR list. I try to read in order of when purchased or promised to review. They will include many indie authors' books, a Mary Higgins Clark, a Jeffrey Archer, and a Robin Cook. My reading goal for 2017 is 110 books. Wish me luck!

Thank you for the intriguing question. I really don't have any mysteries in my life, only in my imagination. However, if I did, I would most certainly save them for a book.
Thank you for asking.
Best wishes and happy reading!

That is an intriguing question. I did enjoy the Richard Hart books that were made into a TV series and the couple who were featured in the book and series.
Why: The couple were comical together as they try to keep their mutual interest in each other a secret from the police.
The author wrote about a mystery author who shadowed the police, in particular a woman detective. They became a couple in the TV series and solved some exciting mysteries together. I thoroughly enjoyed this couple and was disappointed when the TV series ended.
I did read one of the author's books but enjoyed watching the story play out on the screen more.
Thanks for your question.

Thank you, Rosie, for your kind words! It means the world to me that what I write is enjoyed. Yes, I am working on book 3 now and will do book 4 shortly afterward.
I plan to write a girls' mystery series in the future. I feel most comfortable writing for this grade level. It makes me feel like a kid again!

Hi Nicole,
I am presently working on a paranormal mystery novel.
I can write a children's book when an idea strikes me or when I am requested by a reader to write a particular story. I write all the ideas down and go back and rhyme them. Some of my stories were written directly into rhyme as I wrote. That sometimes happens as if an invisible hand is guiding me. It can take a short time (30 minutes) or as long as a day.
Once it is completed after editing and last minute changes my husband takes over with illustrations. There are usually more changes at this time to go with the illustrations, like more action scenes.
The whole process can take a few months from beginning to end depending upon how long my husband takes illustrating.
I hope that answers your question.
Best wishes,

I always loved to write poetry and stories in rhyme. When my children were young I read books to them and one day I made up a story for them. They liked it so much that I wrote more stories, some of these have not been published yet.

I don't write unless I feel inspired to do so. I don't think you can force yourself to write. You just have to feel it and want to do it.
I am an avid reader, copy editor, and book reviewer in between writing. All this keeps me busy and inspired. I support my fellow authors in every way I can and they in turn support me for which I am truly grateful. We can not do it alone. All this inspires me to write.

The best thing is being happy every day doing what I love to do. I finally realized my dream since I was a little girl but it took me until I was retired. I feel I wasted time but I won't waste a minute any long getting my work out there now.

Believe in yourself, work hard, edit your work again and again, and promote, promote and promote, and always support other indie authors.

I recently wrote two new children's stories, one about a moose and another about a family cat.
I am also preparing my first novel for publication, Hunting Mariah. It is a completely different genre from my children's books. I have had adults asking me to write something for them. This particular book was written many years ago but just finished this year. I have three other novels to edit for publication over the next two years.

Sometimes I see something or hear something that inspires me, it can be in conversation or online or on TV or in a book. I come up with titles first and then just sit at my lap top and write whatever comes to me.

The book that I am currently working on is, Broose the Moose on the Loose. It will be published this year. My inspiration for this book was my grandson's school, Moose Hill School. They had a glass shelf with all kinds of moose paraphernalia. I enjoyed looking at it each time I picked up my grandson from school so much that I decided to write a story about a moose.
