Johnny Worthen This is a complicated question, it depends on what you're trying to do. Traditional publishers can be hunted by Google searches by genre, as can agents. Self, or "indie" publishing is a different thing and Amazon Kindle Direct is the primary resource there. I always recommend The League of Utah Writers for a local community. http://www.leagueofutahwriters.org
Johnny Worthen "With my final breath let me confess that I was unfaithful."

"I know; that's why I poisoned you."
Johnny Worthen I've cornered myself into a position where I have to write. It's my job. It's necessary, expected and vital. If I don't write, I unemployed. If I do write, I'm an artist. It's mental gymnastics motivation to trick me into being a "self-starter." Once I get going inspiration flows in as the words flow out and it's all I can do to keep up with it.
Johnny Worthen I'm in edits on a few projects, a short story here and there and a journey into Science Fiction. I'm trying to make my agent happy with something. Check back :-)
Johnny Worthen Write because you love it and prepare for rejection. Lots and lots of rejection. Make writing a part of you day. Never be without a notepad and pencil. Go out as much as possible and experience new things. You'll draw on it all, good and bad in your work. Get ammo for your pen.
Johnny Worthen It keeps my mind sharp. I think more than I did before I dedicated myself to this.
Johnny Worthen The best tactic is just to sit and write. Push the block out with drivel. Just write whatever comes to my mind until it's out and then slowly steer it back to what I want to write. Afterwards, delete the page of crap that got you moving.
Johnny Worthen Arggghhhhh. Hey Sandy. I just found this. I'm an idiot.

THE UNSEEN series is currently a Trilogy: Book 2 is CELESTE and is available now, though it's slated for release on the 14th. Amazon has all the power. Book 3 is called DAVID and is scheduled for 2016. No exact date yet.

There's an ARC give-away coming up this week for CELESTE. And there's another one for release copies on my website.

Johnny Worthen ELEANOR, THE UNSEEN came to me while driving on a lonely desert road north of Taos New Mexico with my family. It was a beautiful day and I was mulling over ideas for a new book and listening to my kids, talk. I remember a melancholia wash over me as I thought about the changes and challenges they've yet to face. Also, in the soup of my summer drive mind was Tony Hillerman and Jodie Foster and bullies and my grandmother and of course the beautiful stark western landscape. Throw in a dash of D&D out of no where and there on the drive, Eleanor introduced herself to me half smirking behind her curtain of auburn hair. She's been with me ever since.
