This is a hard question, because I haven't had writer's block in a long, long time, and I think it's because I'm so excited by the stories I've been writing, and the new story ideas that come up every time I write a new character.
Sometimes I get tired, though. I keep up with three little ones and a husband with a very demanding job on top of my own obligations and commitments with my writing. Every once in a while, I need a week off to do nothing more than read, or play with my kids, or bake cookies and eat bacon. But the stories speak to me even when I'm "on vacation," and I always look forward to getting back to them!

The idea for SUGARED evolved as I was doing world-building for Bliss, the town where the Misfit Brides series is set. Bliss calls itself the Most Married-est Town on Earth, and the local economy basically revolves around the wedding industry. Every year, Bliss hosts Knot Festival, where dozens and dozens of couples come to elope or to plan their weddings, and where newlywed men compete in the Husband Games, a series of domestic and romantic challenges with the ultimate winner being named Husband of the Year. Instead of Main Street, Bliss has The Aisle (which has a hundred-foot-high wedding cake monument standing at one end). All the best jewelers and florists and bridal boutiques have storefronts on The Aisle, including Heaven's Bakery, which Kimmie Elias's family has run for decades. The more I got to know about Kimmie's mother, about the town's history, and about the dynamic on The Aisle, the more I knew I needed to write Kimmie's story. It will be hysterical, but also heartwarming and emotional. Kimmie and her hero aren't the only two people who need to grow and change in this story, and writing it will be both a challenge and probably the most fun I've ever had while writing.

I'm diving into SUGARED, the fourth book in my Misfit Brides series, and I am so excited about this book I can barely sit still. I'm finally getting to tell Kimmie Elias's story.
Kimmie is a total hoot. She has crazy lucid dreams, and when she gets nervous, she blurts out details about her dreams to change the subject. Her mother is the feared and revered matriarch in town, and also the woman voted most likely to be the world's worst monster-in-law (which is part of why Kimmie has trouble dating). This book is going to be a total blast.

Write. Write, write some more, and then keep writing. Also, read. Read everything you can get your hands on, and keep reading. But don't forget to stop and enjoy the real world every once in a while too. ;-)

I love the uniform! Pajama pants and bunny slippers, anyone? :-)
Seriously, though, I love the stories. I love the way the characters talk to me, the way I get to dream up zany situations and make the believable. I love the world-building.
I also adore the writing community. Even though the art of putting words on paper is a solitary endeavor, there's such a huge support system among the writing community, especially the romance writing community. Some of my best friends are people I've met on this writing journey.
