I've just started on the 3rd book in my Hearts & Home series - 5 women who operate a house flipping and home remodel business. This book focuses on Ivy, the real estate broker for the group. She and her arch-nemesis from childhood - and a competitor in the construction business - are bidding on the same neighborhood development project and each is determined to win. This book will also feature all the characters from the previous books in the series that readers have grown to love.

I'm enjoy researching my family tree so the mystery in my life would be an historical. My grandmother always told us that her brother died in WWI but my research turned up a person who has to have been her brother and he didn't die until 1959. What happen? Why were they estranged? Family is an intriguing mess of contradictions.

Generally, I'm trying to work my way down the 'to be read' books on my Kindle. I read a lot of romance - all sub-genres - but also enjoy historical books - especially WWII era - cozy mysteries, thrillers (think David Baldacci, Lee Childs, and James Patterson), and women's fiction.

Characters inspire me so I always start with a character sketch for the hero and heroine. After I know who they are, their background, and what motivates them - the story grows from there.

I love to watch Home and Garden TV especially shows that deal with home or garden renovation. I'm currently working on a new series about five female friends who formed a construction and design company (Think Fixer Upper meets Yard Crashers). Book One in the series is due out in late June 2019 and will follow the General Contractor partner as she finds her true love.
