J.D. Fisher For my most recent work, The Book and the Blade: Unleashed, I got most of my ideas from the plot of the 1st book (the story picks up right where it left off). Some of the other ideas came from playing video games (League of Legends, Everquest, Phantasy Star Online), from phantasy stories like RWBY, from friends giving ideas (thank you Danny and Lukas), and some ideas from the Bible.
J.D. Fisher Sharing the fantasy world that's in my head with others through a book(s).
J.D. Fisher 1) Don't be afraid. Fear will hold you hostage from reaching your full potential and creativity.

2) Be patient. I learned this the hard way when I hastily self published the 1st and 2nd editions of book 1 of the Book and the Blade series. Had I been a little more patient and checked my options more, I would have saved myself a lot of money. Just do your best not to be in a rush if possible. Take your time to do a good job of what you're writing because it will show and shine best when it's been fine tuned and carefully thought out.
J.D. Fisher After now getting book 1 of the Book and the Blade series revamped and republished with a publisher, I am now currently working on book 2. My hope is to have it published by end of 2015 or beginning of 2016. I have some new characters to introduce, along with a few twists I hope that readers will enjoy.
J.D. Fisher One of the greatest inspirations that got me into writing was my brother and I's love for computer games. The game we played so many, many years ago was Everquest. I was never a big fan of fantasy until my brother introduced me to that game. From there I got into watching/reading the Lord of the Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia. All of these factors played a big part in inspiring me to write fantasy.

Now, what inspired me to even start writing was when I accomplished something that seemed impossible to me. With a lot of prayer and perseverance, I was able to lose nearly 50 pounds by diet and exercise. When that goal was accomplished, the next impossible goal was to write a book...the goal now is to not just write a book, but a series.
