What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Katherine Anne Lee Don't think too much, just do it. Let your thoughts and dreams go on paper. I find the story really develops itself if you just let it.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Katherine Anne Lee My husband and I were traveling in Spain. You can enjoy Pimientos de Padron on every corner. My husband mentioned I would turn into a Pimientos if I am not careful. The idea was born. Why not write about Pimientos that dream of becoming human.

What are you currently working on?
Katherine Anne Lee I am just promoting my new book "The Life and Dreams of Pimientos de Padron" in the UK. The book is being translated for the German market and I am expecting the translated manuscript back soon - that will mean a little work.
I am hoping to soon start a new book, maybe around the Christmas time when I find a quite moment.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Katherine Anne Lee Just write about what blocks you. It can be anything that comes to your mind, never matter how simple it seems. Once it's out....carry on with your story.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Katherine Anne Lee You can spend lots of time in your dream world. Diving into a story and letting it develop is an exciting journey. Believe in what you are doing, follow the steps and let the story unfold.
Also I love the aspect of thoroughly thinking about how something feels to be able to transport it best possible to my readers.

Katherine Anne Lee My grandmother, Mollie Cooke, inspired me to. I am really grateful that I followed the path.
