I don't know, I'm too longwinded to tell a proper story in only two sentences!

That is a very good question! There are so many books with varied worlds, worlds of magic or advanced science, it's hard to choose one.
However, I think I would choose Lyra's world from the His Dark Materials trilogy by Phillip Pullman. I would enjoy having my soul walking, or flying, or crawling beside me. I would never have reason to feel lonely, for I would never be alone again.
As for what I would do there, I would meet my daemon, then perhaps head to the colleges there. I would be fascinated at how history had diverged and at what point. It would also be interesting to see how the presence of daemons has affected society as a whole.

There used to be an old tree house in a stand of trees next to my elementary school. All that was left of it was the floor and the ladder steps nailed to the tree leading up to it. I used to love climbing up on that platform and looking down over the street. Sadly, after a few years, the first few steps were removed and the platform became inaccessible.
The mystery in this story is, who originally built the tree house? How long was it there? Why did someone not want me to climb up there?

I get to explore human emotions and circumstances in a fantasy setting. I can write about things that have meaning to me and maybe touch someone else while I'm at it.

I'm currently working on the sequel to Trust and another novel in a different series. I'm also writing a series of shorts to maybe compile into an anthology eventually.

I have different ways depending on my mood. I can get inspired by reading a good book or story. I might listen to some music and be inspired from that. It could also stem from sheer boredom.

It was from a fanfic idea I was plotting. I realized I could rework the characters and story into an original world.
