Hi Susan...haven't read your books yet, but I will remedy that oversight very soon. Am particularly interested in American Witches:....and what I was able to see at the back of it regarding Booger Hole. I am 98% sure that the Henry Hargis character was my great uncle. Guess my question is, where you were able to find this information? Your book has information that I have been trying to prove for sometime. Thanks

I'm pretty sure I first heard of the Booger Hole saga in the book America Bewitched, by Owen Davies, which is really good. I'll try to dig out my notes over the next couple of days and I'll let you know - I think there were several old newspaper articles as well as the memoir by the local lawman.
That's awesome that you're related to Henry Hargis - what a colorful bunch of characters there were in the Hole back in those days! Do you live anywhere near that area?
