Patricia Bossano My current work in progress is a philosophical fiction/comedy, based on recent experiences. The novel is entitled "Daughters of the Bride," and is slated for publication on Mother’s Day, 2020.
* To recover from the unexpected death of their father, the ‘weird sisters’ cling to one another and to their widowed mother; the ‘head witch.’
However, no traditional mourning rituals await them.
Blindsided by the love their mother claims to have found, mere months after the death of her husband of 50+ years, the three women flex their powers and embark on a distressing journey of reflection; to know themselves and the mother they thought they knew.
Amid the hilarity brought on by the head witch’s disconcerting return to a youthful attitude, difficult questions must be asked. Genetic memories must be acknowledged and banished. Painful feelings must be expressed, and life-altering decisions will be made because, at the end of their journey, their new reality must be embraced by all.
Patricia Bossano Writer's block is like "inspiration" playing peek-a-boo with you. As if she were a kid, I ignore her and continue to write whatever I can, from shopping lists to social media content, to business emails and newsletters, until she tires of jumping out and ducking over and over. The moment she sits on my keyboard, arms folded over her chest, I know I've got her! That's when all menial writing goes on the back burner and I get to work.
Patricia Bossano My Faerie Legacy Series chronicles the lives of key *matriarchs* in a faery-human family over a period of 200 years. On my mother’s side, women are in the majority, so I say the beauty, the experiences, and the paradoxical personalities of my family's matriarchs, directly influenced me and inspired the magic of Faery Sight, Cradle Gift and Nahia (pronounced Nah-Yah)
On All Souls Day, 2018, I launched my fourth title; Seven Ghostly Spins: a brush with the supernatural. This is a collection of six short stories and one novella, all of them based on a couple of my own paranormal experiences and real legends and collected from places I’ve lived in over the years.
Patricia Bossano Persevere: Give it your best, and never give up on your dreams.
Patricia Bossano Without a doubt, the aspect I enjoy most about this journey I'm in
is getting out there with my Merry Faeries and mixing it up with the Fantasy Fandom! I hope we’ll meet, at a venue near you, SOON!
Patricia Bossano Coming, All Souls' Day, 2018
This collection of paranormal stories isn’t your typical shriek-and-pull-the-blanket-over-your-head kind of spooky.
Based on true legends and nightmares come to life, the "7 Ghostly Spins" will get under your skin and, henceforth, haunt you relentlessly.
