Mitchell S. Karnes I think they're all good or I wouldn't have let go of them. I do feel as though I get better with each book.
Mitchell S. Karnes As far as writing goes, completing a four-book series. Outside of writing, my faith relationship with Jesus.

Before that, I read Mary Alford's Among the Innocent, a murder mystery set in Amish country.

Earlier in the summer, I read several of Steven's James's Patrick Bowers books.
Mitchell S. Karnes I am currently writing a series called The Abbey Rhodes Mysteries. In Book 1, Water Grave, a young pastor is found dead in the church baptistery. Being a retired minister, this plot is definitely springing forth from my own life setting.
Mitchell S. Karnes Thank God, I've never had it. I have more trouble finding blocks of time to write. I have a file cabinet full of sketches of ideas of stories. Right now I have this four book series and a young adult detective series waiting for time. I also have an adult detective series to write once those two series are completed. Sorry, no advice here on writer's block.

Mitchell S. Karnes Keep writing. I had a writing professor rebuke me once. He said, "Mitchell, you don't want to write. You want to have written. You have fantastic endings. Where's the story to go with it? When you finally discover the love of writing, your readers will love to read them." It hurt, but it stuck with me. I finally found the love of the journey...I love to write.
Mitchell S. Karnes I am currently in the midst of writng book three of The Canaanshade Journeys. The working title is The Treasure of L'lor Rac Siwel and features the war between the surface dwellers and the underground.
Mitchell S. Karnes I've always wanted to write. I remember back to first grade...making up stories. To be honest, I was quite a little liar when I was a kid. My parents encouraged me to write...to put that creative energy to good use.
Mitchell S. Karnes The series is loosely based on an actual event that happened when I used to play Dungeons and Dragons. It addresses the dangers of losing the line between reality and fantasy.
