Hi Jeanie! Great question and thank you for asking. Several of the characters from Other People (Ginny, Marlena, Jim, and Nina) will be in The Yearning, along with a few new ones. The synopsis is as follows :
When Ginny suffers a tragic event, the emotional wounds of her past re-open with a vengeance. As she struggles between existing in a world of sanity and insanity, Ginny yearns to reconnect with Jim and feel the closeness she felt towards him more than a decade ago. But, will crossing paths with the present-day Jim provide comfort and heal her fragile state like it did in the past? Or will meeting with the man who once broke her heart create more pain . . . as many warned her would happen . . . and send her to a mental and emotional point of no return?
The Yearning is slated for release in May 2015.
Until then, happy reading! :-)

The same way I get the ideas for all the books I write; the story and characters just magically appear in my mind . . . without me looking for them. :-)

It's an instinct for me to do so, and I strongly believe in following instincts. I notice life goes more smoothly when I do. And I'm honored and humbled to have the ability to create a magic that I'm able to share with my fellow man.

I am working on two sequels, the first sequel will be for The Cardholder (Shuffling the Deck) and the next will be the sequel to Other People (The Yearning). I did not plan to do sequels, but I've received much fan mail with an interest for them, and I'm happy with the continuation of the stories that appeared in my mind. After these sequels are completed, I will begin the research and writing process for When the Lion Roars, a novel about an American Fertility Specialist who is sent by the CIA to live in a third world country in Africa to help unravel the mystery why there have not been any births there for 2 years. WTLR has been in my head since 2002, so its more than ready to be written!

Follow your instinct. Always. One of the biggest advice pieces I see is "to write everyday". I do not write every day, sometimes taking months or years for hiatuses and I do just fine. Not all advice will apply to you, but your instincts will.

The act of creating something out of my imagination and it becoming an entity of its own is such a rush. I also love that I get to "experience" many different angles of life through my various characters' eyes/POV. I believe this has helped to mold me into a very understanding, well-rounded person . . . who is excellent at playing devil's advocate. ;-)

I'll engage in a non-writing activity. I don't believe in forcing or wasting time. I'm confident when the story is meant to be ready to be written, it will be ready to be written.
